ok...first of all, i faile dinspection because i forgot to take out my blue back-up lights (60$ gone) so, now because i forgot i have to pay another 60...
second, i have an exhaust leak on the flange out my cat convertor (soemthing which was probably caused by when i had my catback installed (place said they needed to look at it and wouldnt say if they would cover it, cus they made it only last summer))
third, i need a front edn alignment because of the curb incident
fourth, the gauges made my airbag light come on, me and my dad tried to fix it but were unsuccessful, and now the =guy at the dealership whos doing the inspection says that he doesnt know if it can be reset with the computer or may take hours to fix (ive heard from here that it can be reset by computer, which ive told the guy that if you cant, just stop)
so, im pretty pissed cus a) i lost 60 bucks b)the 500$ exhaust i had put on the car has a leak and c)now i might not be able to get my system
please adivise me on certain aspects of my misfortune

Dont worry Pat. It came out better than my inspection disaster. Try resetting the computer. Get the muffler shop to fix that leak. As far as the blue backup lights..........
Get your alignment because you need that whether or not you failed or not. You'll get the system sooner or later.
ouch..... inspections are cheap in NY at this point, I still have to slide a $20 to the guy so that it makes it....brakes and major stuff is ok....but the exhaust never passes legitimately
Ouch!! Inspections are only $12.50 here in Texas (may only be 'cause our county doesn't check exhaust emmisions). Plus, I get the hook-up, my Dad gives my the book to write down my VIN & assumes if anything is wrong, I'd have brought the car to him to be fixed...
[QUOTE=BLUEMEANIEIf that doesn't work just pop the bulb outta the socket on the cluster.[/QUOTE]
That's kind of risky. The light is suppsoed to come on when the car is started and then goes away. I don't know how they do your inspections, but if they have you turn the car off before they get in, you're risking failing again when it doens't come on when the car is started.
If the car is left running before they get in, then you should be ok.
i got the car back since i failed cus of the bulbs...the mechanic fixed the airbag light but the invoice says it might come back on (hasnt yet)
there either seems to be a rusted flange on my cat to the catback (which was just installed last summer) or the cat itself is completely rusted through
i need a front end alignment which sounds good at this point....
also, i need a new air filter, new interior parts (cus my friend smashed and cracked my center console)
so, i think the $850 cash that i have from working 3 months is about to be emptied when i get my system (NO MONEY FOR COLLEGE!!!!!!!)
