Gen5 Problem with door locks

While installing my intake on my 2002 LE V6, I connected a vacuum hose wrong and it made the check engine light come on. I fixed the installation problem, and disconnected the battery to clear the code. Everything is fine! However before when I turn my car off and open my door it unlocked all the doors. Now none of the other doors unlock. Anyone now what happened and how to fix it?

Thanks

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I know now I'm pissed I want to get it back to that setting. My mom has an 02 XLE and she has had some crazy stuff going on with her looks, twice the car locked with the key in the ignition. With the car running she got out shut the door and came back to the car and tried to get back in and it was locked. This has never happend to my 02 camry though! Maybe I should call the dealer or something.

Don't mean to sound like an ass, but taking it to the dealer BEFORE you broke it may have been a better choice, but thats just my opinion.

I didn’t break it I just disconnected the battery to clear code from a check engine light that I got when I was installing my intake! When I did that I must have cleared what ever setting the doors had been on. And the dealer maybe be able to reset those settings.

Hmm.. I'd say take it to the dealership.. I have no way to check because my 85 Tercel has manual locks, and so does my Dodge Dart and my Chevrolet Impala, those are electric if i'm not mistaken.

Look in the manual, the other day my friend was bored and was waiting for me in my car, he was reading my car manual and he said our car could unlock all the doors when you out it in Park. Like how the car would auto lock the doors when you have it on Drive. For Example when you drive in to a spot and park it, then Shift to Park, all the doors would unlock.

You have to reprogramme it. Just look in the manual under power locks.

I agree, I don't think Gen 5-5.5 camrys have the setting where all the locks unlock when you open the door. My locks never unlocks when I get out.

But I did like my old van. All the locks unlock whenever I turn off the ignition and locks all the door when I turn on the ignition. Pretty useful feature.
