Wouldn't an axel back just be a muffler?

i thought catback was only the round piece and a axleback was a catback with a tube that connects to the center pipe.

axleback connects to where the factory muffler with the little bit of piping attached to it connects.

it's up to you on that point...for the gen3s, there weren't any axle backs, as the piping for the muffler went through the side, so custom repiping was neede regardless...

if you find a good muffler that you like, it doesn't (shouldn't) cost too much to get it installed at a exhaust shop- should be less than $100- probably around $50 if you don't need any serious repiping

Average muffler install runs about 60 bucks at a muffler shop. Cat back install (new piping with crush bent piping usually runs anywhere from 120-200 bucks.
