4th Generation Air intake question

I am not talking about installing a new air intake system. But I want to ask about Airflow limiter. I don't know what it's called ) Anyway, one of the person in a post mention something about airfloiw limiter. I am wondering whether I can take it off and perhaps I can get a little bit more of power. Thanks!

Cool

No that's the MAF... Mass Air-Flow sensor.
That's how you ECU knows how much air is entering the engine. Without it, you car simply won't run.

Unless you're running a s/c, or a turbo, you have no reason to swap it out for a larger one.
