Spring cutting?

I hear a lot about spring cutting. My 92 ass end sticks up a little to high. I would like to drop the rear only about a inch. Is this spring cutting a option? And if it is, what type of a deal is it? Thanks to all who apply......

Personally, I think that cutting the springs is unsafe. The springs were designed to have a certain number of coils and fit in a certain way, and when you cut them you are altering these characteristics, which would be dangerous not only to yourself but others.

as long as you dont cut like 75% of the spring off u should be ok

if you want to drop it i would go like maybe 1/2 to 1 coil off. also, be aware at the width of the spring, cut it from the part with the least bit of change.

just remember, once you cut it, thats it. a little drop aint gonna hurt nobody

i cut my springs on the front caus ethe front of mine kinda sticks up, Me and my dad cut exactly one ring off and it lowered it between an inch and an inch.5. IT is working very good, a TAD more bouncy but not really it worked out great.
