Do you install it by yourself? From 1-10, what would you rate for DIY? Any recommendation that I should do while install the coilovers? Should I change the strut mount? or anything?
I don't need the spring compressor right? since I don't have to take the spring off the old strut?
Please give me more information.
P.S also, if I have to take it to the shop, how much would it cost to install it?
It is an easy install. Just need a jack and a torque wrench.
You don't need the spring compressor, just removed the 3 nuts at the top of each strut (this seperated the strut from the body of the car) and the 2 large bolts from the spindle mount.
When re installing them, I took 3 tries to get the car re-aligned because of the adjustability of the spindle mount (slotted bolt holes). But this can be done by a professional, and it should be done by a professional anyways. I have to take mine in to get them to fine tune it.
I'm running 1.5 drop or so (Tein S.Tech) with no camber kit. I had an alignment and the computer spec sheet shows that without a camber kit I'm back in the green
Also is this a full coilover setup or just sleeves? If you're running just sleeves you'll still need a spring compressor to take apart the old suspension
I did my Tein SS coilovers with a friend. It took us awhile because we had to run to pick up a few more tools and then one of my front bearings was broken so I had to wait for Toyota to order a new one. It is an easy job as long as you have the right tools. It is time consuming though.

It’s not hard; you can do it yourself. Well the hardest part would be getting the coilovers the height you want them. You will have to probably lift and lower the car a few times before you get it right. Fix the camper in the front last of course once you get the right height.
P.S. Once you take off your old struts you'll see how it’s done. With ksports you don't need a spring compressor.
