I bought a Camry some time back. I love it to say the least and am amazed how well this particular Toyota runs (always owned domestic). I have need for a 3rd car and can get what I think to be a good deal on a Toyota Corolla. My Camry is a 91' LE (near mint cond.) and the Corolla in mind is a 1993 DX. The Corolla I'll pay $2g's for and possibly make my main car. I seem to see a lot more Corollas on the road so are they better cars, or maybe they run better ? Is one more reliable than the other, or are they not even comparable? End rant. Insight would be aprreciated.
there's more corollas because they are cheaper cars than camrys....i choose a camry over a corolla any day....maybe try a newer generation of the camry since they are much bigger and than the gen2 one that u've owned...
I had a 92 'rolla back in the day It's a good A to B car. Gets good mileage, and its small. You can cram the thing into almost any parking space and some motorcycle spaces! But it was too weak for me and most SUVs wont see you. Plus when it rains, they tend to just pick up and float away.

Corolla's are nice if you buy the right one. I have an '89 gts that is one of the most fun cars to drive. It is my daily driver and my camry sits at home and babysits my house.
Anyhow, best of luck with whatever you decide. I'd sell my corolla to you for $2k. come pick it up! lol.

i got fond memories of both of the corollas i had, a 95 DX and the 89 DX that was mine. Although my gen 3 beats them both, even without power windows. But i'll never sleep on a Rolla, after my 95 mile per hour run into a guardrail accident, no injury to anyone in the car, but the frame buckled - Rollas are damn safe. If there ever was a car I trust in an accident, it'd be a Rolla.
I used to have a 95 DX.. I used to love that thing... drove it everywhere... even won a race against a Civic in it! hahaha! the Corolla is much more maneuverable than the Camry... but after driving around in my Gen 5 Cam, there's no way I'm gonna go back to a Corolla. Rolla's are fun to drive, but Camry's are just so much more luxurious and smooth, and its more of a relaxing ride.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
after having a 87 corolla, a 93 corolla, and a 96 corolla i am happy to say that i like my 95 camry alot more. its much quiter and has strong acceleration(i have a v6). my only gripe is that i miss the sub $20 fill-ups. soooooo, i dont think i will ever go back to a corolla unless i have to... actually i think i would take a corolla xrs if it fell in my lap.
One of the reasons you see more Corollas than Cmary's is due to the fact that they are now the number one selling car in the world if I remember right they have beat the VW Bug and The Ford Escort. They get great gas mileage and hey they are a Toyota. I just got rid of one about 6 months ago 97DX had 175000 miles on it . Bought it new and replaced the T-belt once, the tires 3 times and the brakes twice. Traded it in and still got 2750 for it. Of course it helps that I bought from the dealership I sell at and all. I also have a 94 Camry LEV6 and I would take the Camry any day, but that Corolla was a fun car. If you go with the mid to late 90's models they look great jsut make sure you get the 7A-FE engine if you are planning on going automatic. The 4A is a great engine but with no overdrive inthe tranny they tend to get a little loud at high RPM's.
