Some of the LEDs on my spoiler are fading out compared to the rest. Can anyone tell me a good place to get spoiler LED replacement brakelight? I found a site that sells them, but it costs $45 US: http://www.spoilerlights.com/sb105e.shtml
I have a OEM spoiler, so I would think more places would have the LED bar.
Does anyone know anywhere I can get it cheaper or have other suggestions?
Thanks 88 LE. I might look into that more before I go out and buy a new LED replacement. If I mess it up, there isn't much harm done. Another reason for me to get a soldering kit now haha.
Ah, thanks for the kind offer Hajoca. I'll probably get my friend to help out.
I plan to take out the spoiler light and see what kind of LEDs I need. I've been looking at ebay and there seems to be 5mm and 2mm type LEDs. Looks like I'll have to do some measuring. Hope it's not hard to take apart.
I got a question about the LED brightness though. What does mcd stand for? I see LEDs that have an 8000 mcd rating. It sounds like the brightest as some others are 5000 mcd. What's the brightest on the market?
I tried to unscrew the LED bar from the spoiler to take a look, but it seems that I don't have any took that could reach the area of the screws since there isn't much space lol. Think I have to go buy some special screwdriver that can twist 90 degrees.

Try using a stubby screwdriver. The little ones that are a few inches long.
If that doesn't work, you need a right angle screwdriver. The head will hold different bits and the handle twists.
Hmm ok, I don't seem to have anything that fits under the spoiler. I checked out some local hardware place, but it didn't have anything. So I guess I'll keep looking.
I would need an extrememly stubby screwdriver to get under it.
