4th Generation The Camry V6 a sport sedan ?

Hi everybody!
I was just wondering what you guys think ?
I got a Gen4 V6 with a auto tran..
It`s OK i mean i am happy... Well i dont say that i can race whit the sport cars but for its class the V6 is pretty fast ..
I was wondering what do you think about upgrading a car like that.. (CAI,CAT-BACK,WHEELS...)
Do you think it is worth?
And where is the Gen4 v6 ? A sport sedan or just a family sedan for shopping ?

PEACE

[ well, anyone on this thread would agree that it IS worth modifying. Tuning gets in your blood like tatoos....you can't stop with just a little bit. Upgrades are available for these cars, and for the few daring of us...fabrication was needed on a whole new level. Worth upgrading it???....if it was a 5 speed beyond a doubt yes, auto???....yeah still a good power plant to work with. Camry's used to have more spunk for modding and catering to the sprt enthusiast, though the world is going automatic these days and luxury at it.

It's certainly not a sport sedan, but the V6 gives a little more power than one would expect from a family sedan. If you want, make it into a sport sedan. I used to have a pretty much full suspension (struts, springs, rear sway bar) and it was a very fun car. It could have benefitted from some stickier tires (and better driving) because it still understeered a bit when pushed to the limit. Basically, IMO, it has plenty of power for whatever the hell it is. I would concentrate on the suspension if you wnat to make it sportier. Especially a Gen4... I believe you have more suspension options than us Gen3's. But remember, if you get wheels, lower it. Otherwise it'll look like crap and we'll all laugh at you.

I agree with doing the suspension, I started with the 92 SE sport suspension, but eibach, tokico, and soon whiteline will help with this. As for power....cai, catback, computer controlled Nitrous system....would make it an "express lane grocery getter"
