Alright.....just a couple questions from the ones who bought the drop in filter..

WHICH WAY DOES THE FILTER GO?!?!? Flat side down or other side down?

i found a bug in the box! =/

Thank you! that's how i installed it......now to fix the hissing noise =/

If it didn't start hissing until you put the filter in, you probably didn't seal the box. The top of the airbox fits OVER the bottom. (and the filter) creating a seal.

The filter<s> all have a bad habbit of wiggling into the way of the box so it doesn't get a good seal.



If that's not it, check for loose/ split vacuum hoses.

Slightly off topic, but DO NOT get the air filter that NAPA has for the Gen 5. It took me forever to get it in right because it was just a little bigger than OEM spec.

finally fixed it!!!! hallajahouza!! the screw or whatever was missing a bolt to screw onto.......it was missing! well we tightened it down with another one and it was dandy. the filter is in place and hopefully i'm getting better mpg!

GAS is expensive!! maybe the U.S. is doing this on purpose so they'll make us switch to hybrids!! O_O it's a mindgame!
