Australia Petrol...

To all the fellas in Australia with GEN5 Camrys..

What petrol do you guys use?
i use occasional Caltex Vortex which is 95 Octane rating minimum. and sumtimes Shell Optimax which is 98. Do you guys feel ne difference btw 95 and 98? Caltex recently introduced Vortex 98 might give that a try 1 day..

Are all 98 octane fuels pretty much the same?

Theres a video on the Toyota Camry Sportivo V6 GEN5 model testing with BP ultimate fuel 98 ocatane. Last 10 more laps then regular unleaded petrol i think thats prety good...

http://www.bp.com.au/ultimate/pages/video.asp

Just wanted to know what fuel u use.. and how it goes..

i use Mobil Synergy 8000 (RON 98) usually

but i recently tried Synergy 6000 (RON 95)
and comparatively it is a little less responsive , nothing too noticable really

ive tried BP Ultimate before, to be honest it isnt all that much different to the other Premium Unleaded petrol out there

BP Ultimate in my Gen3, i get better mileage then with vortex, optimax or synergy 8000

mileage with ANY shell fuel is very poor for me.

premium premium (98 not 95) the throttle response goes down the drain... maybe a bit too octaney for low rpm.

Y pipe made up for that though, i also dont have fly by wire, you guys with fly by wire i cant even tell how you can judge response.... its ALWAYS shit :P

1mz-fe runs on 98, ecu retards for lower grade fuel.
