This week, I am putting my 96 Camry Coupe back on the road, since I couldn't have my car here at college for my freshman year. What should I do to get it ready for going back on the road? I changed the oil back around August, should I change the oil again, even if I only put on about 300 miles on it?
Thanks

You should be ready to go. Just check the tire pressure and make sure all the fluids are fine. You should'nt have to change the oil, but it really depends on the conditions the car was stored in. If the area was fairly dry and the car wasn't exposed to any extreme weather, it will be fine.

My advice would be to charge the battery before attempting to start it. Then remove the fuel pump fuse and crank the engine for about 20 seconds to slowly build up oil pressure. Now replace the fuel pump fuse and start the car. Drive it around slowly for 15 or 20 minutes to let all the fluids circulate. Then come back and check the oil. If it's still yellow in color I would just leave it alone and drive it as is.
Depending on how long you had it stored, just check your fluids. I know that for a buddy's bike we put some pentrating oil in the top of the cylinders to get them free from rust cuz that thing was sittin' for about.. ehhh. 3 years? We put a couple of tablespoons of oil, let it sit overnight again. Finally, we turned the engine manually to make sure that any rust that may have built up wasn't binding the pistons or causing any friction. Finally, we started the bad boy up and it's good to this day.
change oil, check battery, if u have an open (ie ram air) intake there isn't alot of dust, etc. on the filter, check filter...maybe remove the ECU fuse like 30 seconds before u drive so the ecu gets reset...make sure everything works and there are no leaks and all the fluids at proper level before u take it slow for a couple days...
