I was also wondering if you can point me to some decent reviews of them - I found some on the net but they are few and hard to find....
I liked mine, they're still in my high beams. It's not an obvious on-theroad driving differance tho. I swapped to HID's.
They're from 2002 also...
IMHO there is no life-span differance. If people would clean the bulbs with alcohol , and NOT get fingerprints and grease all over them before they put them back in. Lifespan isn't an issue.

They're great but kinda pricy....i have them for low beams and high, they dont widen your vision much but its a much whiter light and you can make out what things are better off in the distance compared to standard. ive had mine for about 10 months and they're still goin strong
Sylvania's website states that they have a sigificantly shorter lifespan. They should know.
Yeah I just checked - it says 1 year for life-expectancy. Of course, I think they would purposely reduce the length so that no one will think to complain if the bulbs die at 1 year...
is this a sylvania supported website or something? lol.
I have some XD5 xenon bulbs and they're rated at 5800K. If you have checked my website you can see the noticeably Hyper white bluish look. It is really nice. Almost everybody is fooled by them not being HIDs except for the pros who know because they dont' change color while my car is bouncing or whatever.

It is the official Sylvania Website
On my gen 3 they made a big difference, not just in light output but also in the color. Stock "yellow" lights just aren't good enough anymore, even if the SS are $20 each. There is no huge "see for miles" difference, if you want that get some HIDs, but they do let you see a lot better.

Put them in my wife's Volvo S40 after her originals went out. Noticeably brighter and i like them. Her car has daytime driving lights so they lasted less than a year. Nice while they lasted but not worth the price for the lifespan if used as daytime driving lights.
Well if they last less than a year then I think it's a waste of money - fortunately, the night time low beams are what's important, so I guess I will change those...

I just bought some of these XD5 5800K (65W) 9005's from http://www.globalpremier.com/
The shipping to Canada was even reasonable.
They should look awesome with the new clear DEPO headlights.
Thanks for the recommendation on these XD5's Super Kaioken !
Cheers,
