USA Check Out Singapore's Version of the Camry...Tight As Hell!!!

Singapore, along with other countries such as Malaysia, has this ultra luxurious version of the American Camry because most countries don't have the Avalon. So they have to "pimp" the Camry to make it a cross between the Camry and Avalon. I think it's nice although I'm not too particular about the front-end styling.

Amongst the features that I think most American Camry owners would die for are power-folding outside mirrors, Wood-grained, leather trimmed interior, and HID projector headlights. IMO the headlights look a big reminiscent of the current Lexus LS430. Enjoy the pics!

im gonna stab you in the eye if you ever post another reply using dey in place of they or der instead of their. also...alot - a lot, two words. Another thing, these weird dots and slashes that appear in my sentences, well thats what the civilized english speaking world calls punctiation, it makes your thoughts more clear and easier to understand. You sound like a retard.

that is all, please carry on with the repost about the camry's in other parts of the world.

i smell an english major in the making!

That is a sweet camry although......i could probably buy the trim.....i'm still thinking about the brushed aluminum dash trim for my car.....
HID's? is they're really blue yeah.....mine are good enough.
power folding...?

good thing my friend's mirrors fold because a guy switched lanes and almost hit his whole driver side if it weren't for his mirror that folded in. and the guy backed off with just a few scratches on his mirror.

Hmmm, don't the wheels in the second picture look photo-chopped?

Singapore, former British colony and Malayan (before they changed to Malaysia) state. Been independant since the early 1960s. Diamond shaped island, measuring 22 by 17 miles (245 sq miles). Population over 3 million. One of the largest shipping container ports in the world. Very expensive place to buy a car. Not religious but heavy political control. Great food and drink. Best place in the world to buy a real Rolex watch.

well, only problem with the cars over there are, you cannot select the features you would like on your car. Even, if you are able to do to so, it's limited.
i.e There are 2 packages, one is the STD and one is the LUX package with sunroof, etc. You cannot pick and choose which option to add to your car.
it's either package 1 or package 2. or either 2.0L w/ std equip or 2.4L with all acc.

import tax in malaysia is about 100%, if i am not mistaken. the govt is protecting the local production car industry, cos they think it is still in the infant stage. that was 20 yrs ago and they still have a tariff on import luxurious goods.

I believe that the most Camry 2.0L run about RM150,000. that is about 40k USD. An avg wage in malaysia earner pull in about RM2k/month. Entry level enginner w/ BS degree will start with RM2k. try saving for that.

Corolla (known as ALTIS in Malaysia)
Camry
Honda Accord
Civic
Nissan Cefiro (sports version Nissan's 3.0L car)
Maxima
Altima

are considered luxurios cars in Malaysia and South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia)

Check out the interior of the Toyota Altis

how many times was this reposted? I lost count or ran out of fingers. Anyways, yes A lot of Asian countries do get a better version than us because the government don't have tight laws about car emissions like the US.
