They're actually called map lights. Vanity lights would be next to the mirror in the sunvisors - comes from the definition of vanity, basically meaning having pride in one's own appearance or accomplishments. So anyways, I think you'll have to pry off the whole roof console box up there, starting from the side towards the trunk, and then see what you can do from there.
oh yeah......map lights because you use them to see maps x_x'
i've tried that but it seems.....that i'll break a piece off or sometihng.......
darn i got the dome light open without having to remove the whole thing......i thought there would have been a loose spot or something in the map button things.

use a flat head screwdriver and wedge out the corner closest to you.. it comes out pretty easily. dont b too hard and forceful tho or else it will snap. and when you put it back in.. make sure you dont snap it. farr sides go in first.
if u need pics on how to do it. jus let me know. ill b more than happy to help you out. i, too, changed tha bulbs in the map lights.. and dome.. planning on changin vanity lights but bulbs are kinda hard to find..
ta daa
**any bulbs will do! mines are super plasma white
basically.. jus wedge all around so it comes out loosely. puttin it back in is kinda risky. cud snap something but ive done it many times without snapping anything.. a bit of force puts it back in.
