Bad Torque Steer

OK you pros, give me some advice. When shifting to 2nd and 3rd gear my 97' pulls mostly to the left but sometimes right (torque steer) badly. The car sometimes pulls me into the next lane if I'm not paying attention. My CV's have been checked, new tires and I replaced my struts 2 months ago. The part house didn't have the upper strut housings in at the time so I wasn't able to change those at the time but I am replacing them this weekend. I know the right housing is worn and causing the common "rattle". Anyone have advice on the torque steer?

I had the alignment checked for the second time in 6 months 3 days ago when I had the tires replaced. The steering wheel idea is not an option, perfection in the goal. I've got the upper strut mounts on order. I'll replace those and hope that the body roll is amplifiying the effects of the torque steer due to the failed strut mount. I know it sounds like I'm reaching but I've checked all other steering and suspension components and find nothing. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. If nothing else, I know the mounts will repair the rattling sound coming from the forward righr wheelwell.
