need help...

well my check engine light went on...

and i did a diagnostic test on it...and the codes that showed up are

24 = intake aire temperature

31 = air flow meter/map sensor

52 & 55 = knock control signal

by the way my car is a 1993 v6xle 3vz-fe engine....

well anyways...i took out the harness connector from the air flow meter/map sensor-inside the connector everything was bad...the connectors were like broken apart...and i put it back in..and i tried starting my car and it starts but then a 1second later, it dies...

should i replace the air flow meter/map sensor?...

i went to my mechanic...and i asked for a estimate price, which comes out to be more then 450$...im like damn thats too much...i will not be paying that much for parts and labor...and i thought that i'd do it myself...

should i replace the air flow meter/map sensor?...
what is a price for a remanufactured air flow meter/map sensor?

also here where im from...i have not yet seen any camrys in any junkyard thats here, which really sucks...and plus i dont plan on using a used one...

please help,

thanks, peter

Did you remove the connector by removing the 2 screws? If so you screwed up the AFM.

Start looking for another one, unless you can fix the one you have.
