Keyless Entry Problems

Sometimes I have to press my remote numerous times in order to get the car to lock or unlock. I know the battery is still fresh since I changed it about 3 months ago and the light comes on when the button is pressed. Thinking maybe the brain is getting faulty and will probably take it to the dealership to get it checked out.

Any opinions or suggestions?

Thanks.

well i have (i didn't know at the time) a crappy RKE and i have to be within 5-10ft. of the car for it to work...

u might wanna just change the batt b/c when my old batt was like dead, the light would still light up but nothing would happen...

Yeah the distance on my gen 4 is lame too. But my dad's gen 5 is much better. Maybe toyota didn't upgrade it until the gen 5? I don't know, but I would like to see if I can get a gen 5 remote to work with my system. Does anyone know if this is feasible??
