Gen5 Shifting feels rigid after warming...

In the morning, I get into my car and start the engine...shift into reverse and back out of the garage - everything feels fine.

Then, I shift back into park and let the engine run idle for a minute or two.

Finally, I lift my hand to shift from park into reverse...wait...the shifting feels rigid (lots of resistance)!

Is there something wrong with my car? It felt as if I might break something (of course, nothiing broke) if I shifted the gear!

Do you apply your handbrake before you shift it back into Park?? If you don't, then it could be that the transmission is resting on the gear, and obviously, when you try to shift back out into Reverse, it's going to give you a bit more resistance. Try apply the handbrake fully while in Reverse with your foot on the brakes, and then once applied, take your foot off the brake and put the transmission into Park. See if that makes a difference.
