Hi i have known this forum for a fue years now and im 19 and own a ae-92 rolla as stated in my sig. anyway on with what i need help with. I wanna sell my rolla and get something a little bit deferent. I was looking on ebay and i came accros this Gen 2 Camry with 411357k's on it. i know its heaps of k's and its on its 2nd engine but its only $62 AUD. but i was to customise it alot and with the money from my rolla i can do it up. I know its been asked befor and i should de a search but...will it be possible to do a 3sgte swap under say $4,000 AUS? And if i got a 3sgte with say 195,000k's on it am i legally able to wind back the odo to read 195,000? Thanks guys. OH i totaly forgot to ask what i was going to ask. do you think its wise to buy a 87' manual with 411357k's on it?

thats a hell of alot of k's on the clock! then again $62 is bloody cheap.

i wouldnt buy it. there will be rust....and lots of it. in addition to that id say you would need to replace every mechanical part under the hood, drivetrain, suspention, cv's, prolly brake lines, radiator, brakes aswell. not to memtion the interior. 411k's is definately well lived in!! the seats will need to be resprung, the dash will be cracked.

no no no no no!!!!!

look more around the 1-2k mark and there will be a significant improvement.

i personally wouldn't look into getting 2nd hand cars.

but for $62AUD its hell cheap, but you gotta think, its gonna cost you more to register it and insure it so to me its not worth it.

again, its not wise to buy that car.

you should first work out a budget, see how much you got, how much you can sell your 'rolla for, then work out how much you want to spend on a car, keeping in mind that you got to pay for rego, greenslip and insurance. so my advice to you is to do a bit of research, take a look in the trading post, check out sites like drive.com.au and carsales.com.au
