Gen5 Cold start.. thinking there might be a problem

In the mornings before I go to class or work, if my Gen 5 has been sittin' out on the street overnight, when I go to start it, as it cranks, for a second, it almost sounds like its going to stall, and then it just starts. It doesn't do this on a warm start, and it doesn't do it if I turn off the engine and re-start it for a 2nd time. Its only on the first time. Does anyone else have this problem?

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I think it is somewhat normal in any toyota 4 banger. It sometimes happened in my 1991 Geo Prizm (a corolla twin), and in my camry as well. I installed a battery that has 700ish cold cranking amps, and it still happens.

clean your throttle body and use a fuel injector cleaner (concentrate) every oil change and do teh EFI service every 30K miles. Its mostly carbon buildup!

My friend's 2.4L VVT-i does that too. It is normal.
