4th Generation beeping driving me crazy

Gen 4.5 - I am receiving a beep every few ten minutes or so. Last week was closer together but I popped the hood and wiggle the fuses, added some windhield washer fluid, and checked all over. The sunroof is closed, the doors are closed, and all of the lights work. No CEL or anything, just this freakin beep. I did use search so don't hate. I alos have a Haynes and I still can not pinpoint this. I thought it maybe my battery for my keyless enntry but that has been replaced two months ago. It beeps if the door is open or closed and car started or not. Please help me stop the beeping, it is driving me crazy. I am going to Oaks today and Derby tomorrow and I would like for the beeping to be fixed sometime before I really lose my mind. I am entertaining clients and have to take them to Oaks in my Jetta, which is fine but the exhaust is loud and it is a bit too much for the clients.

Thanks in advance!!

Ok...Sounds weird....what type of beep is it? Is it the kind of beep that sounds when you door is open?

One single beeb, sounds just like when you lock the doors with the keyless entry. Is not as loud, comes from in the cab on the drivers side.

I really am stumped. Have you tried removing the postive cable from the battery for a period of time? Just to see if it changes anything? I doesn't sound like the sound it makes when your sunroof is left open?

it could be your speed alert sensor, unless you guys don't have that feature fitted.

if i have my speed sensor set at about 70km/h it will beep if i go over it, so it could be that.

i don't know if that helps. if all else fails take it to the dealer to fix

It does it if it is parked and turned off also. and no stealership for me. Two out of three in our area are crooks, and the other one has a few crack heads in their tech dept. The only good thing I have had there is a free car wash.

TheMajesticking: I will disconnect the power when I get home today. I can't wait to rest all of my radio stations and sound settings, what joy.

Well off to Oaks, wish me luck on a trifecta or two

I miss those, i wish we in state side got that!

Diehonda: have you replaced your battery or had a dead battery or replaced your headunit (your deck, or you stereo) recently. That beeping could be a theft deterent mechanism indicating dealer needs to add code of teh stereo to make it operational (i say cus one camry we were looking into buying had a small beeping sound and ONLY the radio worked)??

This happened to someone before, and it ended up being a cell phone that someone left under the seat

Do you have an aftermarket alarm? (Or maybe even the VIP Toyota alarm?) I can't think of anything in a Gen 4 or 4.5 that beeps, other than the seatbelt beeping when you first start the engine. I've had my 98 camry since 2000, and it has never beeped wierdly like that.

Fixed I guess, disconnected and reconnected the battery cable. If it comes back I will replace the battery. I have an aftermarket head unit but had that code corrected when I installed it last year. But on a positive note. I slayed them at the Kentucky Derby, won 6K!! But one of my clients hit 9800. Man I need a digital camera. Nakedness everywhere. Thanks for the suggestions guys, you all are very helpful and informative.
