Anyone got a DIY for installing an AIR intake? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Specifically it is asking my to connect the PCV (valve/ hose/ thing) To the intake with the supplied 10 inch tube, but i'm not sure what they are referring to. can someone help me? I did a search and didn't turn up anything usefull, just those DIY CAI guides:p.

anything thats attached to the stock box and pipe gets plugged into the new sri. plain and simple. the 10 inch tube is prolly cause the stock tube is to short to reach the location on the sri

there was nothing besides the Air sensor connected to the old air box (at least not anything small enough for the 10mm tube), so i'm kinda confused.

then you got the wrong pipe for your car ... you have a gen3 (92-96), correct? the gen4's had a breather tube. You can just plug the hole on the sri and pitch the tube.

The extra hole is for California cars only, I was told. I just plugged it, because I could not find anything to connect it to.

Yup, been told that as well. Just wrapped it with electircal tape cause I didn't have anything to plug it with.

that's what i figured, since my car was purchased back east and has no Cali emmisions package.

I was wondering, should i reset the ECU after the install or just go with it? It sounds killer
