Why not just buy the wheel cover locks that the Brits use so that the person won't drive away from a ticket.

btw, only old people drive camry's down here. I haven't seen a camry with a bodykit yet!

The first thing I noticed about the 03 Camry when we got it is there is absolutly no anti theft system on it. Not even a transponder key, which suprised the hell out of me considering these are one of the more commonly stolen cars. It was a good excuse to put a remote start and alarm in it anyway.

OT, but I have a celica that I switched out the steering wheel on for an aftermarket quick release. I had a friend make a bracket to hold it in the hatch. I just take it off, put it on the bracket, and throw a masterlock on it. Haven't had anybody try to steal it, but that's partly because I live in a town of 1500 people. Long story short, it's hard to steal a car with no steering wheel.

Camry's #1 stolen car in San Diego. They recently activated Lo Jack in Tijuana just on the other side of the border in Mexico. Supposedly they located quite a few cars, many of them being driven by the local law enforcement.

Gah, and I just bought a '03 Camry today! I'll definately put theft insurance on it, but then again they require full coverage to finance it anyway... Still working on getting it out of the lot because of that whole proof of insurance stuff.

does your car come with STD airbag?
if it does, i think it might be illegal to have it w/o airbag

My car has SEVERAL anti theft devices, the only way it can be stolen is with a tow truck and it would have to be dragged onto a flat bed at that.

Well thanks for letting me know, I will down to pick it up soon just joking now. So is it that bad where you people live?? Good lord, people don't steal many cars here, they take your dog, or car parts, dare you break down and leave it, they will take your bumper or something ignorant, but not the whole car. I left both my cars unlocked for a week while I was out of town and all I had was cat footprints, and I live in an apartment complex. And no fixed up camry's anywhere here.
