I currently have a Vinyl sunstrip on my car that blocks out almost every single bit of sunlight.. only the sun itself can come through it. I've had it for about a year now and it's starting to show signs of wear... which is common.
I paid $20 for the strip so if it has to come off... it's not that bad really.
Here it is on the car:
Here is the wear:
Should I:
Trim it down some (hard because I'd had to make sure it was straight afterwards)
Take it off and have a new one put on....
Take it off and put a 5% strip on the inside about 1.5" to 2" down more
ROSS DRESS FOR LESS Kind of like a TJ MAXX. Its defective name brand clothing, like a letter on a shirt came out wrong or a pocket was sewed wrong or something to that nature
As for the strip, take if off, clean clean the windshield, and have a new one put on the inside
5% is pretty dark... I dunno what you mean by "not dark enough"... I say do the 5% strip.
It won't be as dark as it normally is because the rest of the winshield will be uncovered. Also, compared to the black vinyl strip, the 5% tint will be too light.
