It should. I mean. the Gen 5 and 5.5 doesn't have any much difference in the grill measurements and size.

Xspeed. Seems like you really know the gen 5. What exactly were the differences between the gen 5 and 5.5?

Hmmm... it SHOULD fit... I believe that the only differences in the 2 Camry models are the tail-lights, the front air dam, the front fog lights, and the headlights. I believe that the top of the bumper and the hood are the same, so it would probably fit. However, you can try and e-mail a toyota dealership here in the US and ask them if the grills for the 2 camry models are interchangeable. Again, they should be... they look pretty much the same... but yeah.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

The shape is the same, but there are 4 bulbs per headlight now as opposed to 3... the gen 5 has the low beam, high beam, and signal light... the gen 5.5 has a high beam, low beam, signal light, and one other one, and I'm not sure what its for.

Guys, listen up - I spoke to a a rep in the sale dept of Western Toyota (Sydney). Gen 5 grilles ARE NOT compatible with Gen 5.5 models (and vice versa). Sorry.

Damn... that sucks for 5.5 owners...

Can you do me a favor though? If you can get a chance to speak with the sales rep again, can you ask him if Toyo of Australia is planning on continuing production on Gen 5 sportivo body kits?

yeah that might be true...
but i tend to not trust what Toyota sales reps tell me

but from what ive seen it can be done, this guy put the Chrome Gen5.5 grille onto his Gen5 Sportivo:
http://www.cardomain.com/id/fusionystik

ok just to try and get a more certain answer about this issue...
ill take a photo of the back of my grille when i get home, so we can look at where it screws in etc...
if someone can do the same with their Gen5 that would be good for a comparsion

Actually, Black Sportivo (another member of these forums), purchased the last Sportivo Grille in Australia - he beat me to it by one day!

Terry, it's true - I have spoken to 3 different reps - one from Sydney City Toyota, one from Western Toyota, and one from Pacific Toyota (in Cairns).

I did however, manage to source a grille for myself as part of the Sportivo Kit - they were willing to seperate!

No, no I didn't mean the grill. I meant the actual body kit... the side skirts, front lip, and 2-piece rear lip. Haha. I already have the grille. I got the last one that Pacific Toyota in Queensland had in stock. Stephen Wallace shipped it overseas for me.

Oh, and SuperKaioken, I'm still kinda skepticle about 5.5 grills not fitting on the Gen 5... I'm almost positive i've seen people swap the two... perhaps a little cardomain searching is in order?
