brake squeeky even when not braking... :o
Hey all,
Let me tell the story from the beginning.
I was driving around a couple of days ago and the road was flooded due to heavy rain. Unaware of an opened sewer, pit i drive right into it, front wheel first, the cam pulled herself right out (was doing 30km/h), then the rear wheel. (all RH-side)
No noticable damage at first. But 2 days ago, i noticed my right front brakes felt a bit jammed; as if the caliper doesn't completely let go (i have no shims nor springs on the pads). the steering wheel vibrated differently and i felt the brakes didn't apply equally as much power
what do you think might be shot ?
Today i removed my wheel, greased up the pads a bit, removed as much dust as i could. I also felt it was harder than usual to push the cilinder back. It seemed to fix the problem (temporarily though). No more squeaking, no vibration and equally distributed braking power). After a drive to work the problem reoccured (140km/h, total distance 30kms, i braked no harder than normal),
So now when i drive the brakes squeak a little bit, when i turn hard right without braking they squeal even harder.
Any thoughts would be extremely appreciated.
*little edit* brake fluid is at normal level.
