Intake manifold bolts and another thing

I finally found all 8 of my intake bolts besdies the nuts but for the life of my cant get the 2 middle rear ones in at all, its toooo small of an area.....will this be much of a problem??

The are also what appears to be two engine to tranny bolt holes towards the firewall, one right by the flex-plate cover and another about 10" above it...but when i try to fit a bolt in them they simply stop about when it would just be meeting the threads to the tranny??? are they just ther for the hell of it or are ther supposed to be bolts ther??

**its a 3vz-fe

Dude... Those are not an intake manifold mounting bolts... Those are what hold your EGR pipe to the back of the intake manifold. :P

If no emessions, just throw that pipe away, reach down on the exhaust manifold and cap it with a 5/8ths brass cap from a plumbing store. Don't over tighten too much as the threads do not match. You wind up crushing the threads, which isn't bad. A little bit will form a 100% seal. Too much and you'll crank the engine and 40 psi of exhaust pressure will send it flying like brass shot!

^ why cap ur egr? you're not gaining much power from doing it and you're increasing your emissions significantly. Bad idea.

Cool

Because it's the moat awsomest idea of all time.

EGR makes the inside of your engine from the back of the throttlebody to the bottom face of the exhaust valve look like this:

The carbon deposits destroy seals, plug all injectors and spark plugs, create pre-ignition problems for modified engines, and cost more and more performance over time.

You're talking around 10hp lost between 6-12 months of not cleaning it... On every engine that Toyota uses it on... For the alst 20 years.

Save a tree, eat a beaver. Wait wrong saying!

Plant a tree, don't feel bad. Move to the south... We take awsome care of our envirnment, so we can piss the tree-hugging communists off by trashing it.
