Honda and the aftermarket industry->are they the same?

I'm really pissed at the mainstream aftermarket industry because they seem to have everything for Honda's and Acura's, but nothing for other cars. What the hell's wrong with these people don't they see that times are changing and that OTHER cars are being modified too???

I have a 3rd gen camry (96 LE) and it's been a total bitch looking for accesories, simple things as clear headlight lenses and/or interior detailing is like looking for an honest politician!!!!!!!

I'd like to hear what U guys think about this...

You're right. If someone asks me why im hooking up my camry i say who says hondas only can be hooked up. There are thousands of companies all over selling custom parts for hondas. And none for camrys. I wish there were. if i saw a hooked up camry and a hooked up civic, id rather go look at the camry. My great grandma had altezza lights on her civic lol (Kidding but im just saying). just about every one who buys a honda does soemthin to it....

There's some old lady who goes around town in a silver Civic here... lowered, 18" wheels, altezzas, and fake hood pins. I wonder if she took the car from her grandson or something. I've seen her several times driving this car.... :o

If you think it is hard finding stuff for a gen3, try finding stuff for a gen2.

C'mon people!!!!

Eventhough this is getting quite interesting (Driving custom cars after 80)
let's not get off track here, after all the topic is why the hell it's so hard to find stuff for cars other than Acura's and Honda's, which by the way are total wastes of good steel and technology....correction, waste of steel.

I don't know about you guys...

but when I'm in my 80's, I'd still be rolling up in my import with my music bumping (because I'll be half-deaf by then just like everyone else here from all the bumping). Future import fans, BEWARE!

On the contrary...

My left-hand drive Camry leads me to a more effective right ear than left.

my mom drives the Camry with the cat back exhaust, clear bumperlights, blue back up lights, dropped, and intake and breather...not to mention a Sony Xplod system and Toyota shoulder pads... and a Hot Wheels flaming steering wheel cover that she added herself...so, it's not strange for me to see older people driving "fixed up" cars...(but she's 40, not 80...)

my question is in the beginning when they were first coming out for parts for import cars why honda.....why did they lean towards honda and not toyota and esp camry being the number one sellin car in N. America....and it is not b/c it is a sedan cause so is the accord ...so why? what also pisses me off is the car that the aftermarket companies make a shitload of parts for is what is hot and desired...like every 15 yr old guy where i live wants to get a honda cause there is alot of parts for them and every1 else has them even though a camry could out perform a civic or an accord anyday of the week....i just can't wait to get parts for my car cause i never seen a hopped up toyota let alone camry in louisville area,,,so maybe ill show them there is an alternative or maybe ill take a lot of shit (prolley the 2nd)
