I know this subject has been beaten into the ground, but I just want to make absolutely sure I have serviceable struts before I tackle this job in a week or two. I read the faq but I still cant tell which i have, My car is a 94 that was built in october of 93, so I would think these are in fact serviceable struts. The top of the strut looks like a nut that could be removed. Heres a couple shots:

anyone have a guess? From when my car was built they should be serviceable, but I know this has always been sort of hit or miss. Thatd be a real bummer if I had to sell my inserts to get sealed struts. thanks.

Those are serviceable struts. From what I can tell anyways.

Good luck breaking that nut loose, its all rust anodized.

Indeed those are servicables, and they're gonna be a bitch to open up... when I did mine I had a 1 ft breaker bar, 3 foot pipe on the end of that, and a 150 lb Mexican kid hanging off the end of the pipe. We wouldn't take no for an answer.

hahahaha ok thanks guys, good to know i bought the right ones... a lot of that is mud in there but im sure there is a lot of rust too. Ill look into finding a mexican kid to help me
