Gen5 Camry complete exhaust replacement worth it?

At a minimum I am getting a cat-back exhaust. What I want recommendations is if it is worth the horse power gains to replace down tubes, cat, Y-pipe, etc. with hi flow units. I can afford it but I'll probably have to sleep in the dog house for a month or two.

Exactly. Only real bolt-on mods that give you a good noticeable gain on a camry is a Supercharger or turbocharger. All the other stuff just depends on your taste.

I agree. I did a magnaflow cat back system for noise and better ground clearance than the stock exhaust.

All my money now is being saved for the turbo.....Straight up!!

oh...how could i forget nitrous. That's another mod. You wont' get anything worth while if you do just one bolt-on mod. You have to do a couple at a time to get anything worth while.

One step at a time. Planning on other mods later. Just wondering the cost/effectiveness of a complete repacement vice cat-back replacement. Later, want to go with a Vortech style centrifugal supercharger for a mild boost if one becomes available or a TRD supercharger if they make one for the 3.3l engine. If not, will go with 150 wet nitrous. For now, just want to know if the money is worth it for a full exhaust replacement.

^ no problems

make sure your compression is okay, run low shots, and make sure it comes with a good brain to make sure you don't run lean

I don't think your issue is whether the gains are worth the money. The real issue is whether the gains are worth sleeping in the dog house for a month or two.

So you guys would recommend a nitrous or a boost setup before doing the exhaust?
