About the only thing you will be able to do is a drain and fill. When you do this you only get about 1/3 of the tranny fluid changed. You can pull the drain plug from the tranny pan and let it go. Then fill it back up with 3-4 quarts of tranny fluid. You can take it to a shop and have it flushed. There are many opinions as to how to get this done the best way. You may want to do a search and read some older threads. If you are going to do it yourself you might as well change out the gasket on the pan while you are at it. THere are about 15 10 or 12mm bolts that hold it on and you can get the gasket for sure from your local dealer or parts store.

You dont have to replace the gasket, but you may want to inspect it to be sure it is not leaking. Obviously if it is or shows signs that it has been wouldnt be a bad idea. You do no have to drop the pan on the transmission to do what you are wanting to do so if it is not leaking you don't have to worry about it. If all you are going to do is drain and fill it you should only need a 14mm wrench or socket and a pan to catch the old tranny fluid.

if you are wanting to replace the filter also then yes I would recommend replacing the gasket. If you are going to take it off and it has been awhile since it was done you are probably going to damage the gasket when you remove the pan. once you get the pan off all you have to do to remove the filter is undo one bolt if I remeber right. EIther that or jsut pull the filter off. There is an oring around the inlet tube that sorta holds it in.

If you unbolt the tranny pan, you must replace the gasket.

And if you do remove the tranny pan, clean it and the magnets. The magnets are stuck to the bottom of the pan.

Wrong.

Tranny and differential drain bolt takes a 10mm hex socket (socket with allen wrench tip) or 10mm allen wrench.

Differential fill bolt/plug is 17mm.

The filter is bolted to the bottom of the tranny. The tranny pan needs to be removed to get to it.

P.S. Don't be afraid to use the search function. Its good for you.

1. Drain the tranny.

2. Remove the tranny pan. Theres a bunch of bolts around the edge of the pan.

3. The filter is bolted to the bottom of the tranny. Theres a few bolts.

4. Remove the filter.
