I was trying to replace my brake hose and so I used a 10mm wrench to loosen the brake line's nut to the hose. Yeah, its rounded now... What can I do now? Do I buy the entire line again? It would be from the ABS down to the brake hose.
Get a lock wrench (the kind where you squeeze the handles and it locks onto the nut), and that should get it off. That is assuming you have not gotten it off yet.
If you got it off, take a quick run down to the dealership and they should be able to order you a nut for tomorrow. Or if there are any junkyards near you, hit them up first. It will be cheaper.
Good luck

lol!!! Man, off to buy one now then.. Damn you corroded nuts! I wonder how much Toyota will charge for the nut? $5.90.. LOL Meanwhile, if I go to a junkyard, does it matter if I take the nut off the ABS system? I mean, are they all the same? They are all 10mm...
They are called Vice Grips. One of the best tools made for stripped bolts... and one hundred differnt things you can use it for. I know when someone stole my dads shifter out of his camaro, busted the shaft too. He used vicegrips and used those to shift going to the autostore. Kinda funny.

I really don't know the answer to that one. Bring the stripped one with you and compare. Make sure you look at the screw pattern too, as that is VERY important. And yes, Toyota might charge that much, . They charged me arounf $1.50 each for some 2 cents plastic clips for interior trim, I almost had a heart attack.

You called it right on the money ASG14. That thing is off.. Meanwhile, I'm tryin' to put my new hose on and it comes with two o-rings, what are they for? and.... pardon my noobness
Easy. Take a 9 or 9.5mm socket, or a better fitting SAE (if there is one that's inbetween 9 and 10mm) Hammer the mother fucker on. That's why tools have lifetime warrenties. 99% of the time, the socket is fine anyways.
Other than that, just buy a nut splitter. Vice-grips work sometimes, but are not worth the hassle and strain. They're going to destroy the gripping surface anyways. You definately shouldn't be trying to save the nut if it's slipping on your socket set...
Lastly, buy one of the battery pack impact drivers off ebay; used for $40-50usd. Those things will save your life. So handy to have to begin with!
I replaced every nut and bolt from my head bolts through the throttle body from the local nut & bolt house with M10 hardness parts (including all the little nice flashy stuff, like rubber isolated washers) for less than $20.
