4th Generation Injen short ram intake, not worth it?

My 1MZ Supercharging plans were crushed from dreams, after I was told that it was a waste of money to buy an Injen Short ram intake because it wouldn't be compatible with the supercharger. If that's so, then what are my options for the air intakes that would be compatible with the supercharger? My boy with a TRD supercharged Solara had a short ram intake with the supercharger, but it messed up his Knock sensor. What's up with that?

The Injen has nothing to do with the knock sensor blowing. Poor tuning and weak knock sensors are the reasons behind the knock sensor problems.

I have a s/c with 6lb pulley and injen intake on my 98 Camry, and the car runs fine. Better than fine as a matter of fact. I had knock problems also, but the reason for the knock isn't the short ram, it is the fact that there isn't enough fuel going to two fuel rails and as gLok said "weak knock sensors" (I had to get both of mine replaced). The solution to this problem is buying the fuel line upgrade from Jim @ Foreign Affairs. You can reach Jim at this email address: ForeignAffairs@aol.com

He is another one who has done alot of research on our Camry/Solara. You will find his threads on this topic on Solaraguy.com and Passing Lanes Camry forum. Best of luck.
