i like to consider myself very knowlegeable when it comes to breakes i do like 5 brake jobs every weekend at my buddies garage. There is this suff called "Quiet Brake" its this red goo that you put on the metal piece on the back of the break pad. It quiets em down. Also there could be a squeek if they are non-toyota break pads, a lot of aftermarket pads are a harder material and and it causes sqeeking upon light breaking. take em apart and throw some quiet brake on first before you go buy new pads. hope this helps

Nah man, its not the rotor, take a breake pad off, on the back therre is a meatal piece, put it on there. The squeeking is most likly the piston pushing that metal part, it doesnt hur performance, just makes it quiet. Ask somebuddy at an auto parts store, he'll show you how to put it on, REAL EASY!! Also on brake pads sometimes the clip that scrapes the rotor to let you know to change your breaks gets bent in too far. so you have plenty of pad, but the breakes squeek, take em off and inspect. also check the back breaks. The pads could be low too

Just take your garden hose and spray the caliper, it works for me. If that doenst work, its your break pads. You can buy break pads that are guarenteed not to make noises....
