3rd Generation how many fluid in auto.trans.???

HI! I've got a Camry (3VZ-FE, 1993 whit automatic), Have a question: how many fluid should I refill when drain the old one. (because when the fluid is hot than it's chnages the volume) Have some one ever changed by his Camry the ATF? I would be very happy for some HELP... thank's!!!

Cool

If you are draining the pan, it holds around 5 quarts. If you're flushing it, you need to have 12-15 quarts handy.

Olny 5 quarts? = 1.25L?? :-/, can somebody tell me how many fluid will drain (when it is hot), when I will take the pan off, because I don't wan't to overfill my tranny. The hole volume of the trnay is about 6L? yeah?

O! than it are about 4.75L, and this fluid is hot, but if I fill new fluid than it is cool and the volume is smaller! should I fill a litle less fluid as I drained? (fill about 4L??) can you help me??

no?! Than why dose the level on the bayonet change, (whan the trany is cool than the level is lover and when it's hot than the level of the fluid is higher?) Than I should refill the same quantity as I drained? ????

in the gen 3 automatic, it is LESS than 3 us quarts if you just drain the pan.

If you power flush the entire system, you will need 16 quarts.

I did both in a 1995 V6 LE and those were the quantities I used.

Because when the engine is running the fluid is being pumped around inside the transmission.
Obviously, you put in what you take out.
Drive around the block, drain the pan & refill. Then do it again so that statistically, the majority of the fluid is drained out.
