Well, I bought the "Swift" front Bumper from Yukio and the car is supposed to go into the paint booth tomorrow and the Front Bumper does not fit!!! It's about 2 inches too wide and if you try to make it the way it's supposed to be you can hear the fiberglass start to crack. I'm really P*ssed off because I waited over 2 weeks for the front bumper to arrive(Shipping took forever) and now it won't fit
Has anyone had this problem? And if so how did you get the Front Bumper to fit properly? I need a quick response as the car is supposed to go into the Paint Booth first thing tomorrow morning. I didn't get the bumper until yesterday even though I had ordered it at the end of April!
-Terry
Oh, BTW This is Rapeacivic, I'm at silverstreakin's house trying to fit this damn thing!!

It looks like the only way we're going to be able to fit it is to cut the bumper and that would take way too much time. Any one have any suggestions?
bro i had the same problem with my front and rear bumper....unfortunately the kits not gittinf right is very common. You're just gonna have to cut parts of it and re-fiberglass it

The thing is that the rear bumper fit almost perfectly but the front is way too wide. Had I known this I would had just ordered the Rod Millen front lip again, no fitment problems woth that!!

bad fitting body kits is so common it should be expected when buying a cheap bodykit ^^

yep!!! I know that from my experience with 2 body kits. you're just gonna have to cut the bumper to the right size and re-fiberglass it . I have found that the only ones that fit good are the polyurethane ones... but they are pricey and limited...have fun
Well, they're Extreme Dimensions and they're supposed to make good kits, and it wasn't cheap.
The part that kills me the most is this: "All parts have been test fitted and approved! "
from Yukio's thread: http://toyotanation.com/forum/t67947.html. There's no way in hell this bumper could have been test fitted, it's 2-3 inches too wide !!
Now this is not a vent towards Yukio I have talked with him over the phone and he is a really cool guy But with the "All parts test fitted and approved" I thought I was getting a Front Bumper that would fit without heavy modifaction. We painted the car this morning WITHOUT the front bumper because we did not have enough time to cut it to fit. As it is I have been up over 30 hours and stayed up all night doing body work . I'm going to get in touch with Yukio and hopefully get a refund or a front bumper that actually fits.

hmm well I got a shogun style kit from a local that totalled his camry. same problem it was 2 inches too wide on one side when the other side sat flush..I bought it to a body shop nearby my house they did many bodykits before for mostly hondas and stuff. But most kits they put on was fiberglass, so they had experience with it. The guy that worked on my car was amazing, the first day there I saw him mount it up it didn't fit. The next day I was there the front clip was on like a glove. I asked him what he did. and what he did was rolled the fenders out and rewelded the peices that was on the bumper support, hard to explain what peice..but he rolled the fenders out, no idea how but trade secrets I guess. Made the car look so much meaner too all for free..well not free but he did it with no cutting of bumper at all. Hard to explain hope this helps. I'll try to post pics of my kit...

i cant believe yukio would stand behind a product that is so substandard. i understand you need to fit a bumper to every car individually, but if the kit sucks, it sucks. I was furious when i had to watch my boy Luis go through this trouble, as i would not want to have to go through it.
