How did you check the fuel pump? Did you actually put a fuel pressure gage on the valve at the fuel rail? This is the only accurate way to check the fuel pressure. A mechanic will put a gage on this valve and check it against the car's fuel pressure specifications. If it's below specification, then he will work backwards form their. Fuel pressure regulator, then fuel filter, and then fuel pump itself. Most times, if they are below specification, it is the fuel pump. If the pressure is up to specification, then your problem is elsewhere; most likely ignition system related. These cars have a known problem with the coil inside the distributor developing a hairline crack and shorting itself to ground on the metal inside the distributor. This will produce no spark or a very weak spark. This problem is most noticeable in wet/damp weather. Was it damp when this problem surfaced? If not fuel system related, I would next check out the ignition coil.
Good luck.
