when i start my car, i get the maintenance required light that blinks 5 times and turns off. the car has 4700 total miles on it and i changed the oil like 2 week ago. i dunno y it blinks when i start my car and then goes off. can anyone help or should i contact dealre.

hmmmmm.......i'd take it to the dealer since you still have your warranty.

The light is just there to remind you to change your oil. I don't recall the exact procedure to turn it off, but it's in your manual.

Edit: This is a new feature only on the new Gen 5.5 Camry's.
Edit 2: Ok, my bad - maybe only on the newer Camry's. I know mine doesn't have it.

When I first got my Camry it only had 21 miles on it, and then when 3000miles came up I changed the oil and then when i got closer to 5000miles it started to bling 5 times before it stop...I have changed my oil for about 4000miles, i'm going in this week. My Maint"R'd light currently blinks 5 times before it stops...

Yea I have an 04' you have 02' right, T^3?

i called the dealer and he told me how to turn it off. u have to press and hold the button and then start the car simotaneously

My '05 Camry LE does the same thing. There is a detailed procedure in the owner's manual that describes how to turn the light off.
