Wheels (rims) Problem!

I finally went to put my primax 047 wheels on. The problem is the mechanic said my 5 screws holding the rim in place were not long enough. So I need to know what size they are stock. I need about 0.5 inches more longer for the wheel to fit on. Has this happened to you? Any help please?!

Your stock lug nuts are not long enough, so you need "tuner nuts" for some aftermarket wheels (as in your case). You'll need to get them from a shop that does aftermarket wheels. Any tuner shops around the area?

The shop which sold you the rims should have given you the tuner lugs you required, as well as hub-centric rings to properly center the rim on your hub.

There is nothing wrong with the studs on the car. Maybe your mech isn't familiar with the latest cost-saving measure by wheel manufacturers - multi bolt pattern rims. I prefer to stay away from them becuase:

1. I want something application specific instead of letting the manufacuturers cheap out on some generic crap

2. the extra holes look a bit tacky

3. the need for tuner lugs and the special wrench is a headache I don't need. Those wrenches have been known to brake under an air rachet due to their thin walls.
