damn sumbitch fuckin rust.. this shit is pissin me off.. only part thatis rustedto hell is the section connecting to the exhaust.. I've been blwtorching and using some rust away shit but it aint workin.. about to go to lowes.. see what super industrial strentgh BS they have there...

Buy this thick gel called rust kutter.
For small parts pur the bottle into a bowl and let it soak 5 min. Simply wiping the gel off the part will clean rust off! (re-use the stuff... It goes back in the bottle!)

You can wipe it on larger parts and let it sit 10-15 min. A light scrubbing should get it off.

Other than baking on a coat or two of ahigh temp paint, I don't know anything that will prevent it you can do at home... I vote just deal with the rust.

Ah.. I just sat there and heated the nut and bolt until it got near red hot .. so they expanded and my dad got one of... were workin on the other side now..

I snapped the bolt off the Manifold end.. it'd be all fine and dandy except the friggin thhing is threaded in there.. so He's gonna bring some shiz home tomorow to drill it off ..

Its a hell of lot of headache.. but better than spending $800 so the asshole shops around here can't bend me over...
