4th Generation Auto to Manual Conversion

I have a couple of questions regarding converting my 1MZ-FE from auto to manual.

Has any one done this conversion ?

What are the cost rangers for get this done ?

What Gbox would fit, other then a Gbox from a manual 1MZ-FE ?

Thanks.

I haven't done it with a Camry, but I've done it with a couple of Corollas. Basically you need the clutch pedal assembly, brake pedal, shifter assembly, shifter cables, clutch master cylinder, clutch lines, and of course, the tranny. Make sure you get the slave cylinder as well.

Also one or two of the tranny mounts might be different and you may need one from a 5-speed Camry, and then there are a couple of wiring issues to deal with.

Normally I do conversion when I swap engines, it's more cost-effective that way since you're already changing the tranny anyway. I can usually get all the other conversion parts for about $200 from junkyard.

Hope that helps.

Dude, if you did search, you wouldve found HEAPZ of info...so mate..dnt say u did, wen u didnt!!!

Currently, Im swapping my V6 (2VZFE) to manual. IF YOU SEARCHED, you'd find that the gearbox I am using, fits all V6's (except maybe 3MZ-FE). That is, 2VZ, 3VZ and 1MZ. I was going to tell you the gearbox code...but ill let you search mate...learn some lessons.
