4th Generation 99 Hazard Vent Removal HELP PLEASE

Ok im redoing my interior the color of the car, so im taking out all my pieces again

i want the middle vent with the hazards button out but i cant pry it out cause its connected some how to the hazards button, i can feel a screw but cant quite get to it

hopefully somebody has gotten this piece out

heres pics to help wat im trying to say

screw that is under the dash under the piece hard to see i stuck the camera in there to see im not even sure wat kind of screw it is

yea i wanted to take that off also and the other air vents too but i didnt want to force it cuase i might break it....so how do u take it off?

I'm not sure about that particular piece but I've taken off the shifter trim and speedometer gauge trim and they just pull straight out. They were stuck in very tight and I could get part of it loose but not all of it. I then removed my shoelace and feed it around the trim and slid to closest to the place that was stuck and pulled hard. Whammo, it came out. Give it a try, but don't blame me if it breaks!

ummmm.....I wouldn't force that piece out if I were you......must have to take the screw off I guess......I'm pretty sure that it'll be easier if you do....just take the time to take off the screw and see if that works instead of breaking it and having to look for another replacement part.

Ok kool so u only need to take that screw off and the thing comes out?? when i get home im going to try to take it off and wrap it with suede i also need to know how to take the vent covers off also, do those just pop out??

I wish I had your interior color... :/ I wonder how much it'd cost to get mine in black or grey...

I don't know of any custom shops around here... Let me rephrase that... There are NO custom auto shops around. Just tons of crappy tinting places and muffler shops.. Thats not all there is to tuning assholes

ok i went at that damn piece again today and no go

i cant like turn the screw driver i had a really small screw driver cause about 4 inches back is a frame and u need a small driver to get in there


i think im gonna snap that piece that the screw is connected to, i really dont no wat else to do lol
