Few days ago my stop light "not working" went on in my dashboard. And like a good average Joe, I went to Kragen and got New bulbs ( I changed all the back bulbs), and changed the fuse for the stop light (20 A). Well, nothing happend!! still was not working.
I decided then to replace the stop light switch, and I checked (visually) the wiring in the trunk.
So that's where I am right now. "Stop light" not working is still on in the dashboard.
I think there is a short somewhere!
At this point, I am ready to bring it to a mechanic and spend some hard earned money.
Hehe...my 90 Camry third brake light quit working awhile back too. I checked the obvious things, and found nothing wrong. I haven't fixed it yet, but would like to, so keep us posted.

I checked the light failure sensor located in the trunk, it's yellow and I have no clue if it is working or not, I have no electric sensor or tool ,or knoledge on how to check it.
SO next monday is my day off, i'll go to the junk yard and get a couple of those sensor.
Is there any other things I could check before bringing the car to a mechanic or auto electrician.
(forget Toyota dealers, just to say hello, they ask you $170!!!)
