Car pulls left

Please help... I have a Gen4 Camry(97 v6 xle) and it pulls to the left kinda hard. I have had serval sets of tires since I brought the car and it has done it with every one. I now have new tires and rims and it still pulls to the left. I have had many alignments done buy several different places and they all say the alignment is correct. The car has never been in accident and they tell me that the alignment machine will tell them if the car has any frame damage.. If I hold the steering wheel straight the car goes straight. When I let go the steering wheel turns slightly to the left. It almost seems like the car is lower on the driver side. Anyone have any ideas? I am about to get Tein S-tech/tokico's but want to figure this problem out before I purchase a new suspension. Thanks for you help...

It could be the shocks or the camber's different on one side. either way, if you state that all the things you listed are true, it's your suspensions.

Yeah sounds like suspension. I have a gen4, with a similar problem. My suspension is messed up, I know, because whenever I brake somewhat hard it pulls to the left, and whenever I gas it pulls to the right. In my case, it has to do with the control arms.

Ranger X,

If the car pulls to the left whenever you brake hard, check the wheel temperature at the right front wheel/brake assembly. (Don't touch the rotor as this will really burn.) Now touch the left front wheel/brake assembly and compare the temperature of the 2 fronts. If the right front assembly is noticeably hotter, you probably have a sliding problem with that right front caliper assembly. It may be remaining in contact with the rotor and causing the pads and rotor on that side to heat up. Then, when you brake hard, the left side is cooler and therefore dissapates the heat of hard braking better, causing the car to pull to the left (stronger) side. If you do notice the right side assembly being warmer, I would check the slide pins on that right side caliper for freedom of movement. Just a thought.

Mike

Ok, I'll check that next time I get out of the car. That makes perfect sense. The brakes have never worked well anyway...but I don't know much about judging how good brakes are, so they may just be like that stock. Anyway, what would explain the pulling to the right when I accelerate?
