Something's up with my lights!!

Alright, guys, I've got a 91 Camry with the V-6 and the lights on it absolutely suck. They are so dim and I definitely need replacements. I didn't know, though, if any of you have had this problem before with these camry's (it's the old body style) and had some advice to give me. Also, what are the brightest lights you can buy that are still legal on the road?? I also have an 89 Celica that I want to buy lights for, too. Please let me know if you have any advice for this problem and what type of lights you guys think are the brightest but still street legal? Thanks for your help.

P.S. - If you have any advice on aiming my headlights, or any help on how I should go about aiming headlights (such as where they should be pointed) please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks guys!

I don't know about those lights.........first thing that comes to mind is having good battery and body terminal ground. Maybe even a bad light switch itself???

As far as aiming lights I park about 25 feet from a wall with the lights on an aim them at the wall while adjusting them pretty much straight on. This technique always seemed to work for me.

I think they're pretty old. Probably just need to be replaced. When I do, where should I aim each headlight??

your lenses are prolly hazed to hell ... headlightswholesale.com

Typically, the low beams are aimed with the front of the vehicle 7.6 metres (25 feet) away from a wall and the bright spot of the light on the wall located about five centimetres below the centre height of the headlight.

I have actually only had it for about a year or so but my father-in-law had it for a few years and my wife's grandmother had it before that. I think she bought it brand new. Do you guys think I should just go ahead and buy new headlights for it?

Also, I've got an 89 celica GT and I've been trying to find a housing for my headlights where I just have to replace the bulb and not the housing. I also want to get really bright lights while keeping it street legal. Can anyone help me with that?

Replacing the bulbs probably won't make the headlights any brighter...

You can adjust the headlights up/down and left/right. There are adjustment screws on the top of each headlight and one that is available through a small hole in the front under the headlight.

replacing teh bulbs with somethign higher wattage will though

and when that melts then you can go with new headlights....

but...

make ssure teh lenses are clean first
try different bulbs

the fake hid bulbs tend to be a bit brighter on grey nights... on black nights they kinda suck
