Just find the stock grounding points on your motor and replace them. Simple as that. If the factory grounding points are thicker than the rest, use the thicker ones and place them accordingly.
I'm considering to get the, HKS, Apexi, or Veilside grounding kits sometime soon. If I get a chance, I'll take pics and post them up so you can all see where I put the wires.

HKS..Apexi or Veilside grounding kits?? I didnt know they made them. Wouldn't you be paying for the name a bit too much?? I just went and got some generic 8ga cable from the local electronics store and some connectors.

Yeah, but I have a show car... "name brands" equals more points.
The car show scene is not for ones that want to skimp on prices for products. It's not cheap having a show car. But yeah, I would trust these companies over some kit making them in his garage with a fake "Apexi" logo on them (which I have seen on Ebay).

it did smooth out idle for sure, my sub hits harder, lights seem brighter.
i dunno about the rest, but most of the fle@bay descriptions are just there to try to sell their item. not for informational purposes! (just like how intakes, and capacitors aKa chips each add 20HP.)
it does make the car work better, thats for sure.
^ Whoa... that last one is awefully close to the exhaust manifold!

Current flows through the path of least resistance (larger wire = less resistance), removing the stock wiring will only mean more work for you. IMO leave it just incase you F up.
In answer to what you do with it, here is one article i found. Last one is the best, but according to what i can get from getting these answer. the round thing goes on your grounded battery post and then runs to all the srock grounds. I will try to find them on your picture, but right now i must run. Hope this helps
It's pretty easy to do. Have a look around the engine compartment for the grounds. The RX-8 had 4 plus the battery. Figure out how much cable you will need to join them all together and connect them to the battery -ve terminal (shortest path possible yet still allowing the car to be worked on). If your car is +ve ground, connect to the +ve terminal instead. Measure the lengths carefully, so you can have a properly equipped shop crimp the ends on for you. It's ok to have the ends crimped on so the cable continues. Go to an audio place or section of a larger store and find #4 or so power cables used by car audio "lunatic fringe" types. The larger the cable conductor, the better. Choose your colour, have solid copper ends crimped on, or next best, buy ends you can install yourself. Voila, you have a "grounding kit". The Mazda RX-8 kit costs $200+ for reference.
Hyper Ground/ Earthing kit ground points
1) battery to chassis ground (opposite the battery... Also, covers 1 of the big 3)
2) battery to intake manifold
3) intake manifold to opposite side of the engine head (in the front)
4) from the engine head to the tranny
5) from the engine head back to the battery
It's one big daisy chain. 6/8 AWG power wire should suffice...
While you're at it... You might as well address the Big 3 just in case you have dimming lights whenever your bass hits HARD.
1) #1 from above
2) engine to chassis ground
3) alternator to battery cable run
