Cool

12mm socket/wrench. One one each side of the caliper. You simply unbolt one and flip the entire assembly up.
You need to compress the pistons with a c-clamp to get them back on.

i talked to a friend and he told me how to do it, thx for the help tho

all i had to do, was take off the ebrake and put car in Neutral and the assemble slides right off

as for the front, i just took off both bolts and pulled off the retainers and pulled the pads from their sockets.

er, i also just wanna say that the oem pads suck, and i think aftermarket ceramic pads should fix the noise problem.

14 mm on Caliper bolts, with 17 mm on Slide pins, at least on a Gen 3 95 2.2IL.

maybe ur rotors need resurfacing or the pads needs to be changed

it is also good to put some brake grease between the caliper and the pad. NOT the pad and rotor.

That will stop the squeak

The 98 is the same. I have both generations.

Incidently, the 98 4 cylinder 5SFE should have rear drum brakes. Did someone do a rear disc brake conversion on this car?
