(lighting) Updates (with pics)... finally

Well, here's finally some pics of a couple mods I've been working on, I did Geno's idea for the filtered PCV valve, except I applied it to my 5S rather than him with his 1MZ...

here's some pics:

Also, I've undergone lighting my center panel to have it illuminate the "C A M R Y" which is a project I've been wanting to do for a while.
I initially used an LED strip but after a day I changed it out to a 20" red neon.

Here's the pics:

and I also have a new pic of my drop (kind of), it was dark so no side-shots came out, but I may be able to get some good ones over the weekend. These are my v6 Whiteline springs which were cut 1 coil:

Here's a pic of my converted clock:

enjoy

niceeee.....that glowing camry is pimp

only suggestion that I would make tho is to get rid of the two other lights in hte center panel- then it'll look real clean

thanks, eye8. I'm still debating on doing more to it. I was thinking of mounting a couple LED's facing toward the back so it reflects on the front and illuminates the rest of the center-panel more.

I also didn't mention I guess that I have the neon wired to my parking lights so anytime my parking lights or headlights go on it goes on.

Ok, guys. I used my dremel to cut out a good portion of the surrounding area and then drilled holes after marking the spaces for the neon. The neon is mounted upside down (facing toward the inside of the center-piece) with longer screws and 1/2" spacers. I have it all sealed up with the dull side of aluminum foil being wrapped around the back of the neon, as its reflective surface is almost exactly the same as the inside of the center-piece. Like I said before, it's wired to my parking lights, so when the parking lights or headlights go on, it goes on.

One of my next mods will be on the 3rd brake light though.

thanks, everyone.
the rims will come next year. I'm trying for more go than show right now.
I'm planning to get 16x8 rota slipstreams in either black or gunmetal.

brungold, the center-panel wasn't intended to be entirely light, but lately I've been thinking about going back in with some 5mm LED's and mounting them from the bottom and toward the back (which is a reflective surface), so it'll give a nice glow to the entire center panel. I could probably get away with 4 good LED's.

I'm still debating if I want to go that route with it though.
