what other toyota steering wheels can I use as a replacement to the one in my gen 2 camry? I don't have an airbag. I would like one which is smaller and thicker than the stock one.
The only other Toyota one that I know that fits the Gen 2 is a Celica wheel. My friends ST162 wheel fits on mine and vice-verca. Not sure about later models of Celica/Camry though. Wouldn't an aftermarket wheel be better suited to you? You can always re-trim them to look like a genuine Toyota wheel too (which is proboly better because standard sports wheels that have no padding in the middle of them are illegal anyways.).

Yes, if the wheel has no padding in the centre section, then it's is illegal. Most of the time, cops don't care, but technically it is, and if you went for a roadworthy, then it won't pass. The only way to get a wheel like that legal, is tho pad and cover the centre section.

really, so those autotechnica ones with just the logo on the metal bit in the middle are illegal? bummer
I have no airbag in my truck....my wheel is not soft...it's hard plastic. If I had a wreck it woudln't protect me so I'd just rather slam into a prettier metal one.
Oh, and this is all assuming your in Australia too! hehe.
yeah bro, melbourne too
ill have to have a look around, try to find a nice one, anyhwhere better than autobarn to get one? what's the best toyo wreckers? I usually go to thomastown,
As for wheels, Autoarn or Repco are the only two places that I know of that are good quality/pricing. You could try Super Cheap Auto..but be careful on quality, you don't want it breaking on ya!!
As for Toyota Wreckers, the BEST IMO is ToyoParts in Clayton. 9551 7111. Speak to Anthony. He's the best sorta guy you could know! Very helpful.
